The Glendale Gateway Trust would like to encourage community groups across Glendale to apply to the Margery Stephenson fund. 
In 2020, Gateway Glendale Trust (GGT) set aside a fund of up to £2000 a year for 5 years to make small grants to community groups across Glendale. The fund has been founded with a legacy received from the estate of the late Margery Stephenson, a former member of the Trust. 
Any community group working to GGT’s aim of ‘making life better for the people of Glendale’ is eligible to apply. Each year there will be a theme for the focus of grants- the next round of applications are to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles.

Patrick Sheard, Vice Chair of Glendale Gateway Trust said: “Our goal is to inspire community initiatives that bring people together and enrich the lives of people living, working and growing up in Glendale. Margery was a tremendous supporter of community life in our area, so it is fitting that her legacy will be used to make a lasting difference to the lives of others.”

Interested In Applying?
Community groups need not be registered charities to apply, but should have a clearly defined aim and an accountable management group or organising committee.

The maximum amount of any one grant will normally be £200, but in exceptional circumstances may be up to £500.
