We can now finally ‘Spread the Word’!
January 2026 saw the launch of this fascinating project and we invite everyone to take a look, get involved and enjoy the result of this heritage iniative, which explores the contribution of local farmers in sustaining their rural upland environment.
The Glendale Gateway Trust is honoured to be involved with this Durham University brainchild, alongside local artist Anthea Wood.
How wonderful that people far and wide will be able to learn more about our stunning Cheviot Hills and the local life among them.
The past, present and future of the upland farming heritage in the Cheviots are explored whilst warmly highlighting our local people and history.
